Dear colleagues, friends and members of
WASWAC,
The
Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival is approaching soon. 2021
is the Year of the Ox, the second of the 12-year cycle of animals in Chinese
astrology. People born in recent Ox years including 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973,
1985, 1997 and 2009. In
Chinese culture, the Ox is a valued animal because of its role in agriculture,
and similarly in the zodiac, the Ox is seen as hardworking, positive and
honest.
2021
is worth expecting for the association, as the
third International Youth Forum on Soil and Water Conservation (3rd IYFSWC) and
the International Forum on Land Degradation, Soil Conservation and Sustainable
Development will be both held in Iran and in China. We look forward to seeing
you no matter in the spot or online.
