On June 29, 2020,
Clarivate released the 2019 Journal Citation Report for all SCI-indexed
journals. The impact factor for International Journal of Sediment Research
(IJSR) is 2.577. The Journal is ranked in Q2 journals in both categories of
Water Resources and Environmental Science.

IJSR was initiated in
1986. Since Vol.22 (1), 2007, papers published in the journal are indexed in
Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E) and Journal Citation Reports Science
Edition.
IJSR is co-hosted by
the International Research and Training Center on Erosion and Sedimentation
(IRTCES), China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research (IWHR),
and Tsinghua University. It is an international, peer reviewed journal and
published bimonthly. The journal is focused on the publication of original
theoretical, numerical modeling, field observational, and laboratory studies
and reviews dealing with processes, products and techniques in engineering
problems related to sedimentation and erosion. Topics of particular interest
include geography, geomorphology, soil erosion, watershed management, sediment
transport, sedimentology, fluvial process, river geomorphology, reservoir
sedimentation, coastal sedimentation and estuarine process, ecological
sedimentation, environmental sedimentation, river management, and social and
economic effects of sedimentation.
IJSR is also the
official journal of the World Association for Sedimentation and Erosion
Research (WASER). The journal has an international review board, including 24
associate editors and 69 editorial board members from 24 countries and a global
review database with over 2000 experts.
