In order to deepen cooperation between the RC-IRBM and IRTCES, the both UNESCO Category II centers, by invitation released from IRTCES, the representatives from RC-IRBM had a visit on February 6, 2017. A special seminar on Reservoir Sedimentation Technology then has been shortly held successfully.

The attended reporters for the seminar includes Prof. Alayande Adegoke Waheed, Prof. Eduvie Obada Martin, Prof. Adamu Caleb Ibrahim, and Prof. Salami Ibraheem Adedotun from Nigeria, and experts from China including Prof. Duihu Ning, the Deputy Director of IRTCES, Prof. Yangui Wang, the Division Chief, Prof. Cheng Liu, the Deputy Division Chief, Prof. Xiaoying Liu, the Deputy Division Chief, and Prof. Qingchao Guo, the Deputy Director of Department of Sediment Research of IWHR.

Prof. Guangquan Liu, the Deputy Director of IRTCES, was in charge of the Seminar. Other related researchers of IRTCES also attended this meeting. The thorough discussion and communication on reservoir sedimentation technologies were made and intentions and contents for future cooperation between the two sides were discussed as well.
