In order to encourage young generation over the world to make great contribution to soil and water conservation, WASWAC decided to establish the WASWAC Youth Committee, which is following the existent 5 committees (publications, awards, academic meetings, finance and funds, international cooperation and development) and became the sixth special committee.

After discussion, the winners of WASWAC outstanding youth paper award, Dr Wang Bin (from China) and Dr Sayjro K. Nouwakpo (from USA) were appointed to be the chairman and deputy chairman, Miss Natalija Mirovic (from Serbia), as the representative of the young, was also elected to be the another deputy chairman.

Who will be the members of the youth committee? We are inviting our councilors to recommend young people, who are currently involved in soil and water conservation and related field. The recommended people should be young, it is necessary to be less than 40 years old by the end of 2019. Hope to get the feedbacks from our councilors. We are expecting that our youth committee could be ready and take action soon.
